Coffee

We are pleased to let you know that all of our coffee at Red Tree is fair trade and organic. We carry brewed and specialty coffee drinks as well as sandwiches, fresh muffins, cookies, granola and biscotti.

Fair Trade Certified coffees are purchased, usually from small family-owned farms, at a “fair” price, one that permits the farmers to adequately sustain their families and their farms. This price is determined by an international formula and is always higher than the typically brutally low prices paid to small holders by the local market. In addition to adequate wages, farmers get access to affordable credit, which allows them to maintain a higher standard of living than their uncertified counterparts. The Fair Trade program works hard to create direct trade links between farmers and their cooperatives and roasters. Finally, all Fair Trade organic coffees are grown without the use of chemicals, thus supporting the health of the producer, the consumer, and the environment.

Our supplier is Seven Hills Coffee Co., which is a wholesale specialty coffee roaster in Cincinnati, Ohio. They roast only the finest single-estate coffee from more than 20 countries around the world. They have sourced many of these coffees from the same farms for a number of years, ensuring us the high quality and consistency their customers demand.
